After 77 years in his Veracruz home, the singer Paquita la del Barrio, known for his hit song “Rata de dos Patas,” announced her marriage to the mañana.
The cause of his death was not immediately known. However, weeks before she passed away, the singer announced on social media that she would have to perform with the Sonora Santanera at the National Auditorium in Mexico due to the inactivity of the piernas.
Due to health issues, the singer had to postpone or cancel several concerts in the last several years, which worried their fans. Oxygen use was also necessary due to pulmonary issues caused by the presence of humo in the affected areas.
Paquita was admitted to the hospital in 2019 for intensive therapy after developing pulmonary trombosis. After recovering, the singer experienced pain in her ciátic nerves.

Paquita is considered the “reina y defensora de las mujeres” by many since her songs contain lyrics that criticize men’s mistakes in relationships.
